Formula to Calculate Incidence Rates:

Incidence rate = Number of injuries or disease occurrence×200,000 / Total work hours of the employees

Why 200,000? This number represents the total work hours for 100 employees working 40 hours a week for 50 weeks in a year. Using this standardized figure helps in making consistent comparisons across different organizations or industries.
