This document describes [Company Name]'s work from home policy. It is intended for all employees, whether part-time or full-time, who plan to work remotely. It seeks to ensure that remote work arrangement is equally beneficial for both the employee and the company.
Eligible Positions and Employees
The following section in the work from home policy should cover the conditions that allow employees to work from home. Even if some businesses are entirely remote, the eligibility and criteria for working from home may need to be specified. For example, employees should work for a particular time before requesting to work from home, or the employee should live in the same city as the business location.

Employees can choose between temporary and permanent work from home options. To be eligible, they must have worked for [Company Name] for at least [X] months in a row, demonstrated a high level of productivity, and have no history of administrative policy violations.
Working from home is only permitted with the approval of a supervisor. Employees must notify their supervisor at least [X] days before starting a preferred work from home period.
All employees who want to work from home full-time must go through a three-month trial period. An HR representative and a responsible supervisor will evaluate their performance results at the end of these three months.
If the employee, manager, and human resources department all agree, a work from home agreement will be drafted and signed by all parties, after which a three-month trial period will begin.
Work from Home Expectations

Working time: If remote employees work full-time, they are required to work [X] hours per week. If the remote employee works part-time, he or she must work [X] hours per week. However, employees can only work up to [X] hours per day if necessary. All remote team members must keep a precise daily record of hours worked in the tool determined by the company.
Team collaboration and communication: Employees working from home should join a meeting link for the working day. Whether on Zoom, Google Meet, or any other platform. Also, they need to be available on all communication tools that the team uses.
Performance: The performance of each remote employee should be tracked using the tools determined by the team leader or manager. Employees should report immediately to them if they encounter any delays or difficulties while performing a task.
Employees who work from home are sometimes exposed to more security risks than those who work in the office. As a result, your work from home policy must contain guidelines for data security.
For example, you must thoroughly guide employees on how they can protect confidential company information or unpublished data and reports.
